I am just trying to understand my hair, to learn what works and what doesn't, to experiment, make mistakes, and to embrace my hair in it's entirety..... because Roots Don't Lie

Flat Twists Hair Style

Hey Guys,

Here is a quick hairstyle I tried out a while back. The hairstyle was inspired by Laila. Laila did her hairstyle on straightened hair but I worked off my failed curl formers experience.

Steps:
  1. Get your hair as tangle free as possible. (I just used a wide-toothed comb on my hair)
  2. Apply any moisturizer of choice to your ends since they are going to be tucked out of the way and you want them moisturized.
  3. Seal in the moisture ( I used my Natural Curlz Anointed Hair Oil)
  4. Place your part wherever you like I placed mine in the center of my head. (I drew the part down to the top of my hair.
  5. Comb your hair out-wards so that all the hair is spread away from the center and goes outwards in all directions.
  6. Flat twist or braid the hair around the edges of your hair. (I flat twisted mine, and since I am not very good with flat twists instead of doing one long flat twist from one end to the other, I did one on the left, slightly past halfway in the back, and then did a flat twist on the right towards the back. I twisted both loose ends and then secured the ends with hair pins)
Here is what the style looked like.

All Around

I hope this is explanatory enough. If anyone would like a picture tutorial or a video please let me know and I will get one done.
